Healing together: Theirworld project supports refugee children in Greece

Meet Nilia and Happiness. Two little refugee girls from different parts of the world who are thrilled to be playing and learning together.

They are among more than 200 children who will benefit from a project supported by Theirworld called Heal Together, which provides early childhood services to refugee families in Greece.

Nilia from Afghanistan and Happiness from Congo feature in a new video we made to mark Giving Tuesday this week. You can help by contributing to Theirworld’s work.

Like children around the world, these students in Cameroon just want to be with their friends at school. But more than 700,000 have been affected by classroom closures caused by conflict. Urgent international funding is needed to help them back into education.

Our weekly roundup of global education news also looks at how Afghan girls took exams despite the Taliban stopping girls from returning to secondary education. And how having a lot of books in your childhood home can affect how your brain ages in later years.
