Tell the G20 to back education

Tell the G20 to back education
By the year 2030, more than half of the world’s 1.6 billion young people will never have been to school, dropped out of school or left education without even the most basic skills needed for employment. These are dangerous and costly predictions in an already unstable world. If that doomsday scenario is going to be avoided, action is needed. Now.
It may seem daunting: but these millions of children have huge potential - and there's a plan to match it. A new International Financing Facility for Education [IFFEd] could mobilise $10bn or more to make sure these children can realise their right to an education.
The first step? The 20 largest and richest countries in the world, the G20: together, they've huge power - so if they back the plan in the July meeting we'll know the ambition is there to make IFFEd happen.
Already, it's been backed by more than 20 major charities and campaigning organisations including Global Citizen, ONE, Save the Children, Avaaz, Malala Fund, Islamic Relief, VSO and World Vision.
What's missing? You.
Join us and tell the G20 that IFFEd is one idea that must be on their agenda this July.
One thing’s clear: without action, a generation of the world’s children will be left without education, or hope for a better future.
